I miss George Carlin. Been a while since I heard anything of his too. What are his best stand-ups/HBO specials? I liked him more in his later years but I'd be glad to hear any of his standup routines.
Definitely his rant on religion is my number 1 favorite. I saw him live one time, he had me laughing so hard that I was in tears.
Yeah this is what got me thinking about him again in the first place: Carlin on Religion
I've never found Carlin to be funny at all. It's not that I have anything against him or anything, but I just find him to be boring.
Lemme take a guess, you think the american version of The Office is funny and Will and Grace is hilarious to you?

This isn't funny?
You act as if liking The Office is in poor taste. I disagree.
Will and Grace, though, you hit the nail on the head.
The american version is so bad it's not worth watching, i don't get why subtle isn't something you can understand in the US, you're not happy unless you get it explained to you?
It's useless, the original British version is quite fun, the American overdone overdosed version is just a pathetic excuse for being blunt about idiocy.

I like both versions (also like Carlin)
They are different shows. The British version is a brilliant parody on the absurdity of office work. The American version is a platform for Steve Carell's physical comedy.
I heard that this is his last year doing it. That's pretty much it for the show, there's no way "Jim and Pam" can glue that thing together.
