I miss George Carlin. Been a while since I heard anything of his too. What are his best stand-ups/HBO specials? I liked him more in his later years but I'd be glad to hear any of his standup routines.

In Hell, the English do the cooking, the Italians are the mechanics, the French run the hotels, the Swiss are the lovers and the Germans are the police.” - George Carlin

Can't remember which one... it might be you're all diseased. Whichever one has this quote: "I wouldn't fuck her with a stolen dick!"

Definitely his rant on religion is my number 1 favorite. I saw him live one time, he had me laughing so hard that I was in tears.

I liked the one where he talks about stupid boys names.

"Fuck Brad and everybody who looks like Brad!"

"I bet you 10 times outta 10 Nicky, Vinnie and Tony will beat the shit outta Todd, Kyle and Tucker."

Edit: It's Complaints and Grievances, "Guys Named Todd".

+1 about his religion rant, assuming it's the one that starts off talking about the biggest bullshit stories.

Of of his later stuff on the HBO specials was my favorite but he really doesn't have anything I have found that sucked. His earlier 70's work wasn't as good but still better than most.

His last one was amazing but my favorite would be a tie between "Back in Town" and "You Are All Diseased." His rants on abortion and relgion respectively are pure genius.

A Place for My Stuff is some of the best standup ever recorded. I really love Playin' with your Head as well. The new sports rules are hilarious. It seemed the last few years he was just bitter. Though I do miss the once a year HBO special.

I've never found Carlin to be funny at all. It's not that I have anything against him or anything, but I just find him to be boring.

You act as if liking The Office is in poor taste. I disagree.

Will and Grace, though, you hit the nail on the head.

The american version is so bad it's not worth watching, i don't get why subtle isn't something you can understand in the US, you're not happy unless you get it explained to you?

It's useless, the original British version is quite fun, the American overdone overdosed version is just a pathetic excuse for being blunt about idiocy.

I like both versions (also like Carlin)

They are different shows. The British version is a brilliant parody on the absurdity of office work. The American version is a platform for Steve Carell's physical comedy.

I heard that this is his last year doing it. That's pretty much it for the show, there's no way "Jim and Pam" can glue that thing together.

Agreed. It also tanked pretty hard this season... 2 and 3 were the prime of The Office.

His bit about how shitty/stupid Golf is, and how all golf courses should be turned into shelters for the homeless is the best.

Lemme take a guess, you think the american version of The Office is funny and Will and Grace is hilarious to you?

This isn't funny?

Different people find different things funny. If you haven't learned that yet, you're in for a big surprise in the real world when you'll find that people will actually have a different opinion than yours as well. I know it's hard to take in all at once....but it is true.
