Are the ti4400 or ti4600 worth getting? I heard the the ti4200 could easily be overclocked to those speeds. If so, what's the best performing ti4200 to get (as in what brands are easiest to overclock and have the best core/memory speeds)?

Also would the gf4 ti series outperform the ati 9500 pro?

a 9500 pro would be outperformed by an o/ced geforce4 TI4200 if it were at 4600 (or above) levels. untill you turn the AF/FSAA on. Try to get a good rating on the memory when you go to buy a 4200. 4200 is the only geforce4 TI to consider since it is basically and underclocked geforce4 TI4600.

Gainwards are good as well...My ti4400 Golden Sample from Gainward came stock at 280 core 580 memory, and can easily get up to 4600 speeds. A downside is that ti4400 prices actually seem to have gone UP lately, as they (i think) aren't produced anymore, I would think that would be up to the actual manufacturer though. Basically, If you can find a ti4400 for a reasonable price and are willing to pay a little extra, do it.

got a pny ti4400 and lovin it, does ti4600 speeds easily :)

as for if you get a ti4200, the otes ones are good, same with the higher end albatron and asus ones that use 3.3ns bga ram and 8 layer pcb (like the ti4600's)

Go with the Ti4200 128 MB model. This generation of video cards is on it's way out anyway... so don't spent a buttload of money now, just get one that'll last you 6 months to a year until the next generation of cards are out and affordable.

Buy a 9500PRO and get DX9 capabilitie. It is faster than a 4200Ti. It's not worth saying an oc 4200Ti is faster than a 9500PRO. oc a 9500PRO and compare them. For me no doubt, 9500PRO is a better product.

The Albatron GF4 Ti 4680P TURBO + VGA DVI-I & Tv-out - AGP 8x is a great overclocker for a GF4 Ti4200 card,no problems getting 4600 speeds.

Review here .
