What is the best board available (ie. creative ..etc) Preferable not a pro or a ultra, because those are expensive. (side note: where is the cheapest place to buy it for england?)
 
I like my winfast geforce2 gts-64 tv.
its good stuff... but ive heard the gladiac is also worthy of owning.
 
I'd say the Elsa Gladiac because I've heard Elsa puts more emphasis on 2D quality than most GF2 makers do, so the Gladiac doesn't have the 2D quality issues most GF2s do.
 
Actually Pro is pretty cheap, and its a tad faster than regular GTS, anyway if you dont want one Im not going to force you. I would recommend the Hercules and the Creative.
 
The Geforce2 MX is the slowest of the Geforce2 range , in order(Geforce2 class) it goes ,MX,GTS,PRO,ULTRA.

I personally like the Asus and Leadtek products. If you stick to the big names it all comes down to the features that you require as performance difference is very small.
 
i've heard that the visiontec (i think that's how it is spelled) provides the gts boards to elsa, while elsa renames them. and there's some oem visiontek (there it is) gts 32 meg boards for 160 bucks if you search for it.
 
Yes, VisionTec is the manufacturer of the Elsa Gladiacs, they have great 2D (much better than creative), and can be had for around $160 + shipping here in the states. The visiontec's only come in OEM form though, so if the software bundle is important to you, go with one of the others...
 
Speed wise, most of the boards are equal...
so what you really want to look for are the features that suite you. Amount or RAM, 2D Quality, TV-Out, Hardware Monitoring, etc
 
I mean I though that the GTS was faster then an MX, but now I remember that it?s not the GTS, but the 256 SDR that the MX is faster then ok?
