Any suggestions? No longer want to use charcoal, too expensive for grilling out 3 times or more a week.

According to Consumer Reports the Brinkmann 810-8410S (Home Depot) is a best buy at $200. Comes in at 10th place in medium sized grills and all the ones rated higher are $450-$1800. Even the salesmen at Home Depot are quick to point out that this model got a best buy award from a "Major Consumer Review Site" since they can not name the review company directly.

The user reviews for this grill are pretty good as well.

Looks nice.

I might just have to get that one for myself :p

The POS grill I got from Walmart a few years ago seems to drop off some part each time I move it.

I'd avoid the cheap ones. You need to get a grill with heavy cast iron grates and good burners. Pick up the grates, they should feel VERY heavy.

CR also recommends some of the models sold at Sears. I would definitely go with spidey07's suggestion for a grill with heavy cast iron grates.

I actually got one of these after buying the house. I like it a lot. I'm amazed at how little gas it uses. I have one of the standard little bottles of gas and it has lasted me over 6 weeks and I grill at least 3-4 times a week. Granted I only usually use 2 burners.

A++ would recommend

IIRC, we got our Weber Genesis Gold B on sale at Home Depot for about $350. Last one they had...small ding in the cabinet. (that took me 2 minutes to pop out) Regularly $599 at the time.

I LOVE the Weber. I got tired of replacing the cheap-ass Kenmore grills, the POS grills sold by most other "Discount stores," and spent a bit more for the Weber. Haven't regretted it for a second. Better heat control, fewer flare-ups, MUCH better build quality.

Another Home Depot sale: I purchased the stainless steel charmglow last year. I'm the type of person who forgets to put the cover on it more often than not. I don't think it's been covered in the last 3 months. The thing still looks brand new, inside and out. I was a little skeptical about the brand; hadn't heard much about them, but I've been quite happy with it. 5 burners, plus the funny catalytic heater thingy for rotisserie cooking. I can cook a shit load of bbq chicken on it :)

Ohh... I might have to get me one of those brinkmans.

Don't forget to grab a lowe's 10% off coupon from those mover kits at the Post Office. Most Home Depots will take those coupons.

$118 shipping kills the deal :p

Also looking for something reasonable. Wish I had an HD near by, I'd go pick one of these up.

Buy the what ever Weber you can afford. It is worth the money. Great products with great customer service. Another plus is that it is VERY easy to find replacement parts if you should ever need.

Thanks for that link. I'm going to have to pay extra extra close attention to the burners before the warranty runs out.
