Best gaming/overall LCD

I'm looking for the best gaming/overall use LCD screen with at least 18inch viewable (more is ok). I know there are a lot of reviews on these things, but I find it odd that the reviews always rate the LCDs poorly yet users like many them. The price is not a huge concern to me, id spend up to maybe $1400. What do you guys recommend?

Dell 2001FP
16ms response time and its huge. Right now they are $899. Probably the best LCD out right now.

Also the Sharp LL-T2015-B and the Viewsonic VP201s are both 20" 16ms LCDs but have the same specs as the Dell but cost $1200. I think the Viewsonic is the same LG panel as the Dell and the Sharp is there own panel but I'm not sure.
Make sure you have a good vid card for 1600X1200 though.

For gaming, its one of the best, if not THE best TFT for gaming.

thanks for the info, but I just checked the specs on the CML200B (equivalent size/resolution to the dell) and it has a 25ms responce. Wouldn't this make ghosting more apparent, or is that not such a big factor as ppl claim. That dell looks nice though

well it really depends, appearently I am lucky, cous my hercules Prophetview 720 has a rated response time of 30 ms (and that's just an optimistic guess, might be 40 or 50) and I cant spot any ghosting whatsoever, ever.

so for me a response time of 30 ms is plenty enough, but if you got frog eyes, then you might even see it on 16 ms, so it's very subjective,I can only say, go to a store where they have plenty of LCD's lined up and get something fast paced onnem.

yea, but i wanted least 18inch view, thats ok though i think ill go with the 2001FP, thanks all for the help
