I need a new mouse as mine has gone to heaven..
I tried the IE explorer 3.0, but it seemed a tad on the large side for me.

I need something that is excellent for gaming. Gaming is all I do.
I usually turn my mouse sensitivity up to around 3/4

suggestions?

I love my Logitech MouseMan Dual Optical. The best mouse I have ever used, for everyday use and for games, period.

I use the Logitech dual optical. Yeah the razor is a better mouse for gaming, but they are made like crap. If I pay $60-$100 for amouse, it better last ;)

i have been jumping with joy ever since i got my razer boomslang 2000. the best combo for me is the 3M Precise Mousing Surface (~$10) plus the boomslang. you CAN tell in games. razer addicts unite!

I prefer a good optical mouse ,I will never go back to a ball type mouse again even for gaming, the Logitech Dual Optical is a good gaming mouse,I think it`s really a personal choice here since it depends if you prefer optical or a ball type mouse, then the mouse itself has to feel right in your hands ie not too big or too small.

My old Logitech Optical Mouseman (blue one) still works well for me in gaming( the Logitech dual optical mouse is better) and I`ve played them all with it,Q3,UT,CS,TFC,DMC,DoD etc.

I'm quite a fan of the Microsoft optical series, but I personally use a Mouseman Dual optical.... I am like you, the MS 3.0 is a little on the big side now... I really am digging the smaller design of the mouseman, plus if you are sensitive, I feel like the mouse clicks on the Logitechs are a lot more controlled... and of course, I love my Ratpadz....

Bumpage for the Logitech Dual Optical. I use it all day and its great. However, with the MS Intellimouse 3.0, I found it to be on par with my Logitech and I'm quite pleased with it.

Another vote for the Logitech Dually, it's the best mouse I've ever owned and I even had the Boomslang 2000 for a month but ended up returning it for a refund after 4 RMAs, definitely poor QC on Razer's part :disgust: Much to my joy, my Logitech Dually doesn't lose track like earlier optical mice did, and I've found it to be exceptionally precise for Q3, UT, and other FPS games.

yes wireless is no good there is a delay especially on the keyboard when you are straffing side to side! I wish I had two keyboards hooked up!

Well, I use a wireless, and I notice no lag whatsoever. Maybe I'm not "hardcore" enough. :) When I miss/have a delayed reaction in CS, I don't blame it on my mouse:p. The ONLY downside to wireless is batteries.

really go play what ever game you play and go side to side really fast! you will notice that you are lagging! I use the logitech freedom optical package it suppose to be the best they make it is RF it still does lag, it is not the distance between the keyboard and sensor either! I have tried it really close and there is just some lag small but its there. I would think same with the mouse, it is just way harder to notice with the mouse!
