My MS Sidewinder Mouse has died after 7 years and I play Arma 3 so need a new mouse with at least 6 buttons and a wheel with ideally adjustable dpi and a comfy design. Currently have Logitech 5500 wireless as stand in mouse but need quality replacement. Budget up to $100 but I'd rather spend less unless there is a legendary mouse that really will deliver all.

I've bought this mouse about 2 weeks ago on sale and it's bar none the best mouse I've ever owned.

It's a 5+3 buttons mouse. 4 main + wheel and another 3 above the wheel. All very responsive and, if you have a medium-size hand like me, placed exactly where you want them. The 3 above the wheel work well for "open inventory", "change fire mode", "use", "chat" kind of actions, but nothing more.

I particularly like the mouse wheel. It's just right.

First thing I've noticed - it's extremely comfy. It's covered by a rubbery texture, giving very good grip and a nice feel to it. I like that it supports all your fingers because normally, after a few hours of gaming your fingers start to get sore from rubbing against a pad/holding them up. Also because the way it's designed your palm won't rest fully on it so you won't sweat.

It's also EXTREMELY precise and responsive (1ms response time). On most surfaces. I'm using it w/o a gamepad and never had the feel to need one. After double clicking on "1" button, you can select the DPI with the mouse wheel from anywhere 800 to 3200. I keep it at 1000.

The pads are made out of metal and glide gracefully on everything textile.

My only gripe is the battery lasts only 1-4 days/charge (depending on how much you use the mouse). I'd say 12 hours of continuous gaming. It takes about 1hr to fully charge. You can use it as a normal mice while it's charging.

The charging port is micro-usb and looks breakable, if you're brutal with your mouse while the charging plug is plugged in.

Software side, it comes with a really decent program that allows to make profiles for games, macros, etc. It comes with 4 different "cores"/ mouse modes optimized for different types of games.

There is no doubt there are better mice out there, but for it's price (50$) it's really really good.

EDIT: I'd also recommend you to read this, especially the comment section:

Based on what it's said there, buy a Logitech.
