I'm looking for a GOOD Gaming laptop that could handle all the latest games on the HIGHEST settings. Games, like Diablo, WoW, LoL, GTA, Sims, CoD, Crysis, BF, basically all the latest games.

I don't really have a budget. Hmm.. £800+? Can you get a good gaming laptop for £800? Maybe less than £800? If not, please list me the top 3 best gaming laptop (with price, specs etc) to this date. I don't care if it's alienware, as long it can play all the latest games on the highest settings. (all the things for smooth gameplay)

I have no clue what to look for, i.e. graphics card, processor, memory etc. Hence why I created this thread. ^_^

In return I will personally gift £5 to the person who helped me find the perfect gaming laptop. :)

The laptop is for my friend. I'm helping her find the best one. Please don't comment 'GO BUILD YOURSELF A PC, ITS ALOT CHEAPER'.. no shit. :p

Thank you :D

@Ray

It's 800 british pounds, or about 940 euros.

No, newegg doesn't ship to Europe. Not sure why you think it would, or if it would be a good idea to do it even if they did?

@OP

You can't find that fast gaming laptops for such money... In terms of performance, this is the best ~£800 laptop I can find with a quick search: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/SkyFireIII-14/

800 pounds = 936 euros.

MEDION® ERAZER® X7827(1449 pounds)

Obviously the latter is the best of these three, but the others would offer decent performance.

If price is no concern I would look only at laptops with Radeon HD 8970M Crossfire or GeForce GTX 780M SLI. They are a little hard to find but these guys will make them http://www.eurocom.com/
Be prepared to spend upwards of 3000 pounds for a top of the line gaming laptop.

I actually tried to find an alienware that allowed the option and couldn't find one, maybe I wasn't looking at the right area of their site. I blame Dell though.

Thank you! :)

I understand that. Can I get anything good under £1000?

Agent11 listed some good laptops, but I'm sure there are better ones and better value and whatnot :D

The £1000 is the best value, but it does not meet your requirement of "[can] handle all the latest games on the HIGHEST settings". The £1449 will get closer, but it will still choke on Crysis and Battlefield when the graphics are turned all the way up.

What about the 925 one? For some reason I find the 925 one better? I don't know :confused:

The difference appears to be the 128GB SSD. Makes games start faster, though not run faster, and makes all other programs stored on it start faster too.

The 925 one has an empty slot that could accept an SSD, though. So you could add a £75 128GB SSD of your own. (And then reinstall Windows onto it.)

NotebookCheck.net has a comprehensive list of mobile GPU benchmarks.

Personally, I thought the Optimus-V line was better especially for it's larger screen (15.6" vs 14"). GPU is a little better, it starts out only £60 more, but I recommend bumping the RAM to 8GB which puts it @ £804. This Laptop has the GTX 765M, which is listed in the High-End list from above. Overall it's a great value.

Some of those laptops appear to be Clevo-based, which is what I would suggest. Man, I've got to say... there are more Clevo dealers in the States than you can shake a stick at, but I had a hell of a time finding anything in the UK. The 765M or the 770M are probably the best options to go with for a price-to-performance ratio. I'd probably steer clear of the AMD solutions unless someone can point to a recent article about Enduro not having issues as last I heard, it had issues.

The flickering in this video is pretty bad, and if one doesn't need the benefit/s of Enduro then it can be disabled. Hopefully the issue is corrected sooner than later, but other than that the GX60 looks like a nice bargain.

Another good option would be the MSI GT60 line. Haswell Core i7, GTX 770M, 15.6" screen, backlit keyboard, etc. They can be found on Ebay, mostly shipping from the US. This one is just under £1000 shipped (VAT extra?).

What you all think about dell Inspiron, series i think its cheaper then Haswell core i7

I think the Inspiron laptops are fine, but Dell's gaming line is Alienware. Unless you can find an Inspiron with a decent gaming GPU, then there's no point in even considering it. Since most Alienware laptops aren't within Capuccino's budget, it's not really an option either.

I'd recommend checking out PCSpecialist's or CyperpowerPC's UK websites. They have systems for around £1000 (inc. VAT and delivery) which can handle most games at high or max at over 30 frames per second. Here's links to a PC with a GTX 770M on each site.

I don't know if I would import internationally--customs fees and shipping could easily make the price rise far above what it appears (that Ebay seller estimates the price at £1375.79 before customs but with shipping).

This PC, once configured to have an identical GPU and HDD size, is slightly less shipped and without the worries of customs since the site is based in the UK.

Anyone have a list of latest gaming GPU available in market with its specification and price?
