best games for ps2 or gamecube

i have ps2 and gamecube and i'm pretty bored with the games i have now and want to get a new one... kinda looking for a good RPG

What kind of a game is Star fox? I have heard mixed reviews about it.

F-Zero is a lot of fun, although I get too impatient and pissed off and start screaming when I cant beat parts of the Story Mode...

...probably not healthy.

Where's Super Smash Bros. Melee on that list. No GameCube list is complete without Super Smash Bros. I know that it isn't the kind of game that you get for single-player though.
