I know gamepads aren't that popular for the PC, but what is the best one out nowadays? It's hard to find a recent discussion on them. Logitech? Saitek?

imo xbox360 pads cannot be beat for numerous reasons.... like durability, compatibility, coolness and awesomeness.

Hmm, I hear the Xbox 360 pads are really nice but have difficulty in detecting some games. Any truth to that?

I really like the XB360 controller. It's designed quite well, and feels great. I'm not a big fan of Logitech gamepads either...

Another vote for Xbox 360

There are two different kind of Xbox 360 I saw at the store last weekend. One is for Windows computer and other one for Xbox console but it can work with Windows PC too.

The 360 controller , mainly because all the games for windows that are ports from the 360 , expect you to be using one.

I was looking into the Devil May Cry 3 port, and apparently it has problems with the 360 controller. Will Joy2key fix that?

Here's another vote for the 360 controller. I love it, and you can have multiple controllers hooked up to one comp if you want to do split screen or whatev. You can also bind all the buttons on it to keys, so even if the game doesn't have 360 support, you can still keymap the controller.
