FF7. It defines the modern non-MMO RPG. And yes, I've played (several times) all of the games before and after it in the series. FF7 was popular so hardcore RPGamers love to hate it, but you have to admit it is one of the biggest milestones in the history of RPGs.

this list is just our opinions... we just chose our favorite games and made that list... there are many out there that are probably better, hence the other option...
