Best fun games for a 7 year old boy on XBOX 360

So I have a 7 year old boy who is getting into video games. He likes Minecraft but doesn't really understand it since he can't read that well yet. He loves Boom Beach on my phone.

I want to get him some fun games he can just pick up and play for a little while by himself or with friends. Something that isn't $60 would be nice.

What do you guys suggest? They don't have to be the latest and greatest. For sports I'd just get the "best" one from a few years ago to save money. I was thinking along the lines of

FIFA
NBA2kx
Sonic Generations
Sonic/Sega Racing
Lego Movie Game

Something along those lines maybe. FIFA and NBA would be nice b/c I can play them when he goes to bed

Any LEGO game (if he likes Star Wars or whatever then obviously that title)
Disney Toy Story 3
Viva Pinata
If you have kinect, little kids seem to really enjoy those games as they are "active" and just are impressed with the wizardry of it all.

and yeah, if your son likes sports, than the applicable sports game will always be fun/ Especially when you play with/against him. My son and I have had A LOT of good times playing games against each other -- until he started to beat me, then I stopped playing 🙂

Disclosure: My kids are now 12 and 14, but have been playing on the 360 since like 2008 so we've been through all those games 🙂

Trials is great my 4 year old plays it a lot on my ps4 but I know it's on Xbox 360 too.

I don't know if beach buggy racing is on the 360 but that's good also

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. He keeps asking for Lego Star Wars as I think he has some buddies that are into Star Wars. I picked it up for like $16 on Amazon so we'll give that one a try. His mom hates video games so I might catch some flack for it. But I can say it's teaching eye/hand coordination and problem solving and helping to learn to read what's on the screen 🙂

assuming my kid wants to get into games, my plan is to actually get him into NES games first. Tecmo bowl, Double Dribble, RBI baseball. We'll move on from there depending on how it goes.
