I am going to a computer show tomorrow to buy a case.
Can you guys recommend the best Full-Tower case under $150?

Need at least (5) 5.25 bays and (5) 3.5 int. or ext. bays

Preferably, a power supply will be included in the price

Thanks!....

---
I will not mod it, I will keep it as-is; maybe add a couple of cooling fans if it supports them. I just want to be able to fit in a bunch of 5.25-size drives into it (DVD, CDRW, etc) as well as 3-5 hard drives with room between them for better cooling.

I will use a 1.33 GHz Athlon, hopefully overclocked

I have the InWin Q500 as well and am very pleased with it. 1 ext 3.5 bay, 5 ext 5.25 bays, and 5 int 5.25 bays.

The Antex 1040 and 1240 are worth checking out also.

I forgot to mention, I am looking for a case whose power supply can suport Athlon 1.33 GHz.

Please make more comments and suggestions, I'm right here reading your responses. Thanks.

I love my InWin Q500N.

5 5.25" external
5 3.5" internal
1 3.5" external

Basically the bottom half the case is just hard drive cage and mobo tray.

So lots of room to fit a mobo in there.
My motherboard is nice 10.5 inches wide (1.5-2.5 inches wider than the average board), and it fits with room to spare :)

I love the Q500N.

Call me crazy, but wouldn't it be a better idea to post this on the cases and cooling forum?

There seems to be a discussion just like this over there just about every other day.

Sal

My vote is for the Antec SX1030 or SX1040 depending if you want a 300 or 400 watt PSU.

I had (it was stolen :() a SuperMicro 750A, and loved it. More room for fans than in any other stock case i have ever seen.

For that Price i would consider

Enermax F710-BB (*) Awesome blue colour, usually comes with a nice Enermax PSu
Antec 1030B (*) 300W Antec PSu and its black baby
Antec 1040 (*) 400W Antec PSu
Antec 1240 Big ass case + 400W Psu
Addronic 7896 Nice case, a modders fave
(*) same chassis, different PSU or colour

Although all the cases mentioned are very good these would be my pick.

Have a look at the Antec and Enermax websites or directron

You can buy a seriously kick ass case for that much money. Can you tell us more about what you want to do with it, ie mod it?, overclock in it? have a sexy case that girls drool over?

The Antec sx1030 or 1040 is technically not a full tower.. but big enough. I'm sorry I don't have a link at the moment.. I'll post one later, but I know that you can find the 1240's for about 140$.. I was going to grab one myself but didn't want to carry that monster everywhere I went.

That's about it, I guess.. Power Supply should support the CPU, so 300 Watt or more.

I suggest the 1040 then. It has enough bays for your needs, has a huge power supply, good cooling with potential for great cooling and comes in comfortably under your $150

This Hydraulic case is used by AlienWare (.com) computers, and that company knows how to build nice PC's :)

I don't care that much about the looks though, I'm more interested in good construction and cooling.

They mainly Use the Chenming chassis (used by the Antec 10X) for their Athlon systems though and the Hydraulic for their P4s

i would have to agree here. Been using 750A for 2.5 years now and it's amazing. It's gone through a lot of mobos and chips and cooled each and every one of em. it has

3 / 3.5 (internal)
6 / 5.25 (external)
1 / 3.5 (external)

It has 8 places to put fans right off the bat, including 4 that cools your 5.25 bays.

I vote for the Inwin Q500 ,

I got my for $81 and it came with powerman 300w PS

You can also add fans (slim) to the front panel to cool down hds

I agree with you Slacker that the Antec SX 1240 is one nice case. This thing has a ton of room in it. I picked mine up for $135.00 about 2 months ago from Onvia when they had free shipping.
