Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They aren't married. Nothing.

I wouldn't buy someone an anniversary gift even if they are married unless it's their 50th or something like that. I have plenty of married friends and I've never bought any of them anything for their anniversary. For family just send them a card but gifts?

Dude, you don't buy people gifts for their anniversary.

I was thinking more along the lines of if they had a party or something for a special anniversary that I'd bring a small gift. But that's because of the event, not some "oh, forgot that Jen and Craig's anniversary is coming up, better go pick up something.
jenny craig? :p

yyeah d00d i don't care if they have been going out for a month or 10 years you do not get them ANYTHING! If you are seeing someone then they can invite you 2 on a double date to a dinner or something to celebrate with them but you do not get them anything wtf are you thinking? even if they were married you don't, it is something they share between them there is no reason for you to get them anything. Maybe at the 20th anniversary of being married when their kids throw a party for them you might bring a lil something but otherwise NO save your money and get yourself something :)

What did you end up getting them? Were they as repulsed by your gift giving as everyone else?

Get them nothing. It's just dating. Only means something to them.

Put it like this: If they get married, they won't celebrate their "dating" anniversary anymore.

It's not that important.

QFT

They are in a non traditional relationship. They don't get the benefits of "traditions".
