I talked to him today and im still not sure why they decided to stay. He and his fiance live in Manteo,NC his parents live on the sound in Nags Head, NC. His parents place is a $800,000 home with over 20 windows all of which had to boarded up at $30/sheet of plywood. He said that probably half of the locals are still there. He is going to take pictures and maybe shoots some video I will post it here when he sends it to me.

This is a picture I took from the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse about a month ago when I visted him. Currently Isabel is 335 MI SSE of this exact position, and if predictions are right its gonna hit spot on.

Yeah I think Isabel is supposed to finish it's course in Montreal, Quebec. I live near there! It's supposed to rain like 40 to 70 millimeters!

Isabel is just a cat. 3 now right? If it was a 4 or 5, I'd be a bit more cautious but I've lived through a couple of weaker hurricanes living on the coast of NC.

Did you ask him to include you in his will? Make sure a lawyer notarizes it and mail it to you asap.

Its a cat 2. There really is no reason to flee from it. Sure if it was still a cat 5, or even a high 3 or 4, but a 2, its not really that big of deal.
