Just wondering, what's the best free video teleconferencing software up there for XP? And I'd also like to know what's the next best (and cheap) option to go if I want to pay a little bit of money?

I don't know the cost, but I actually see one of my doctors through teleconference . Kind of odd walking into see your doc and he is on a tv in the room . The software they use is by polycom and works very well, no lag and very good quality picture.

Are you going to use this for business or for home use?

For the home my family and I keep in touch with ooVoo. Mom and sis live in Wisconsin, my brother lives in New Mexico, and my sister-in-law lives in Italy. For the Super Bowl my mom, sis, brother and I used our laptops and watched it together. Pretty interesting. The quality ooVoo brings is probably on par with some of the others out there. ooVoo is free per se. One on one you don't have to pay for it, but if you go true multicasting then it'll cost you some extra $$, but only one person has to pay for it as long as they are the ones setting up the session.

Hard to find multipoint or broadcast solutions that are free. My wife's company has been using Live Meeting for several years now.
