best free or cheap text and voice app

I been using google voice for some time and it's great. I'm on call some days and it works flawlessly. Thinking about branching out and starting my own small side business and wanted another app so I don't accidental pick up my usual work line for my own side business or vice versa. Last year work gave me a phone and I vetoed that idea as being on call required me to constantly carry 2 phones (did it for 2 weeks and it was more efficient running an app like GV or ringcentral).

If you have wifi and would like to have a separate number/ app then you could try pinger for your mobile device.

They also have a computer application so you can text while using your pc/laptop.
