Should have used Revo uninstaller.

I reinstalled it two more times since it was gone from ADD/REMOVE Programs then used Revo Unistaller once and CCleaner uninstaller once. It did this only on one computer and was uninstalled fine on a couple more so I don't know what is wrong with that one computer.

Once again, stay away from Avira. I'm not the only one with this problem. Do a Google search on it.

I did. I'll run it later. For the next few days, I've got a bunch of TV shows recording into my computer so can't shut it down right now. I'll try it then.

I run free Avast! in silent/gaming mode and it never bothers me.

If they don't back down from this I believe they will run off what customers they have left.

Came in here to ask this very same question.

I've been less than impressed with Microsoft's Security Essentials . . . damn thing doesn't seem to actually run its scheduled scans. Until weeks after it misses them, than I get nags from Windows telling me my system is insecure because it hasn't ran.

Is BitDefender still getting positive votes?
