Best free Java Development Environment for XP?

What's the best free environment to program Java with? It's been a real long while since I've done any Java and might brush up on it a little bit.

Not really. AFAIK J#.NET is not pure Java, but another .NET language variant that uses Java syntax. If you want to do Java development, you'll need to go with Eclipse or Net Beans as others have mentioned.
