Best free image hosting?

I'm primarily looking for a free solution to online image storage that will allow external linking to the images? Right now I use photobucket but I'm sure I will run out of space in a few months. I'm not averse to paying, but damnit, if there's a free service out there, I'd like to know about it.

The ones I don't want to deal with are sites:

- that require me to use some proprietary app to upload pictures.
- don't allow external linking (like from forums or blogs)

Any thoughts?
TIA

Yes stop being a cheap ass.

For $20/yr you can register your own .info domain and get your own web hosting with 325MB disk space.

Owning your own domain and web hosting is cheaper and easier than ever, it also offers you total control:
  • NameCheap.com offers .info domain for $2.88 for the first year. If you can afford it go for an easier to remember .com or .net TLD instead.
  • Telnap.com hosts my domain dizzle.net which you were testing out.

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

excellent man, I never thought about this solution. paying the same amount but having a buttload of more stuff is always a good thing. I'll check those links out.

That's always good to hear, the advantages of your own domain/web hosting are:
  • 100% total control
  • Your email address will never change again whether you move from Florida to Fiji, it will remain the same.
  • Webmail access
  • With cPanel and Fantastico you can auto install any of 30+ scripts in about 30 seconds. You installed coppermine with no problems.
  • Hotlinking is allowed since you have total control.
  • The ability to install your own pichosting service, forums, blog, CMS, etc.
  • The possibilities are endless.
