I host my own website and I want to start a blog. I would like to use free and open source software but I'm stuck on which software to use.

I would like something that is

1. very easy to manage/update
2. lots of simple/clean themes (that aren't too hard to edit)

I have come across http://b2evolution.net/ and it looks okay.

Thanks

Joomla just had too many quirks and half-working features (like SEO) that made it a PITA to work with.

I like the cake website, shows that WordPress doesn't have to JUST be a blog. I am making a few sites that use WordPress as a CMS and keeps it simple for the client to update it and post blogs.

I use Wordpress, and had experience with Drupal and Joomla - WP in the end just seemed to work better overall, Drupal and Joomla had a lot of quirks.

Thanks. That was originally the reason why I used Joomla...CMS. But Joomla is sub-par for blogging next to Wordpress. I finally got around to reading up some more on Wordpress and found out that they made it so that the blog page doesn't have to be the home page in an update since I had last looked at it. Instant site move after that. I actually did that this past weekend.
