Can anybody direct me to where I can get a good, free music ripper? I've been using RealJukebox, but I get artifacts when I turn the music way up and there's a quiet part in the song.

BTW, I don't need to ripper to convert the files to MP3 (I can do that myself as long as the program can get it to WAV).

Thanks a lot!

I know you said you can do it yourself, but if you get the LAME encoder and EAC as linked above -- it's a very simple operation and of the highest available quality so far as I know. EAC will even autoconfigure LAME during the install.

The artifacts could be caused by your CD-ROM drive. I use MusicMatch with a Plextor CD-RW and it is always artifact free.
