Best 'FPS' 27" gaming monitor...

It seems the two IPS panel monitors that get the most mention are the AcerXB271HU and the Asus PG279Q.

First hand experience with either or both...

the Asus is where it's at, according to the ESR forum.

I went with the Acer, as it seemed that at the majority of tech sites I visited there was more a negative vibe toward the Asus.

Who knows? I receive it tomm (Sunday)...

Just set up the Acer... The screen is fine... no issues at all. The screen adjustment menu/options a PITA... the only negative. Got the refresh to 165hz.

Then fired up Battlefield 4 for some online/multiplayer... just WOW... amazing... super fast and smooth at 'Ultra' settings... We'll see if my K/D ratio gets better.... NOT.... I'm still a mediocre player at best.
