Best firmware for WRT54GS v4

I'm looking for the best modified firmware for the WRT54gs v4 router, I'm looking for one with an at least ok UI as I'm not skilled with linux but I would like some more features to play around with.

Thanks in advance.

Best? No best, there are differences and it depends on what you actually need.

HyperWRT took the road of augmenting the Linksys UI so you do not even notice that it is 3rd party firmware and you do not have to feed the "Penguine".

The HyperWRT Tofu / Thobir release is the cleanest and easiest of all. However it is lacking some of the advance features.

So here is the Table, do some homework, http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=31

I'm a big fan of dd-wrt. The UI is pretty simple to use, and still gives you access to a lot of advanced features. It also allows you to do things manually if you'd like to learn.

Their forums are a great resource -- there are howto's for most everythign you'd want to do, and if it can't be done in the UI, someone will give you the commandline specifically enough that you don't need to know what you're doing to pull it off.
