Best firmware for gaming/BT on a WRT54GL?

Hi all,
I just got a Linksys WRT54GL v1.1, and I'm going to change the firmware out to one that offers more features and stability than the default Linksys one. I'd like to get as much performance for gaming and BitTorrent as possible, and no zombifying because of too many logged connections (my old WRT54G v6 zombified daily). I've read some people syaing that the HyperWRT Thibor15c firmware is best for gaming, but acording to the HyperWRT site, it doesn't officially support the GL model. I've heard good things about DD-WRT, but I haven't heard anything about it being better than Thibor for gaming. What do you guys suggest?

I honestly don't think it matters. Do a search as there has been a few threads on this subject recently.

As far as my experience goes, the Linksys works the smoothest with HyperWRT Thibor15c.

I do not use the "Behemoth" DD-WRT unless I need something that Thibor does not offer.

How does the firmware affect gaming? I'm not a huge gamer, so I don't really know whats the difference.

I'm using DD-WRT since I didn't like the Linksys firmware. Never tried HyperWRT. I wish they had more screenshots though. Almost none on their website.

The HyperWRT augments the Linksys original firmware, screenshots look the same as the Linksys, but have additional menu entries.

Look at the following screenshot, at the bottom of the Advance Wireless menu there is an entry to boost transmission power. Set in this specific Router to 53mW.
