i'm looking for a good firewire card for my computer. preferably around the $50 range. and must be pci.
reccomendations? maxtor, western digital, etc?

I bought a $30 Iwill (VIA chipset) card and it works fine. Auto-detected and no drivers required in XP.

If I were in your shoes I'd just buy a cheap TI chipset card, since most cards out there are TI chipset cards anyway. Sort of like the cheapo Realtek or D-Link NICs. Work fine with no real issues but cheap as borscht.
