Best / Fastest way to lose 25-40lbs

I'm looking to lose about 25-40lbs in as little time as possible. My schedule doesn't allow for much free time, and certainly not running/jogging or what have you. I have regular access to a gym (school gym, so not that great, but its a gym) for more than 2 hours every weekday.

I'm not worried about pills or aids or contaminating my body nonsense, so if you can recommend those (ephedra free though), please do. I'm not a body builder or anything, but I'd like to be a bit more muscular in the torso and arms.

I'm looking for a solution to get me muscular thin or thin thin. One or the other, which ever is fastest. Naturally, number one is preferred.

I'm about 5'8" - 5'10", and am overweight, but not obese.

I also want something that is easy to stick to. I don't want to be worried with picking up special foods at the supermarket, and I don't have the will to cut out all the bad stuff (I'm not very disciplined).

Post your suggestions please!

I got tired of DDR after playing it for two or three months. How can you stand playing those songs over and over again for over 4 years?

If you want to lose weight, you MUST change that.

Sounds to me you want all the benefits and not have to do any of the work. I'm sorry but the only solution I can think of to solve your problem is surgery and you prob don't want that either.

Feh, everyone thinks that you need to stop eating certain things to diet. Just eat LESS. You can eat 400 callories of lard a day, as long as you don't eat to many other callories. Of course, you want to maintain dietary balance, but that's really not that hard. People make a huge fuss over exact proportions of food. Just eat sensibly, eat junk food if you want to, try to eat vegies/fruits, but eat LESS. Most importantly? NEVER eat when your not hungry. No snacking, no eating just because everyone else is eating, no eating because your with a group of people who are eating, no eating because you sad, no eating more than your hungry for at partys, etc. And of course, exercise some.

Haha, I lost 30lbs on that game... It came off pretty quick too. Took a couple months, but it was fun losing it while playing a video game.... hahahaha... but since I stopped playing, gained about 15lbs of it back. Doh! I don't have an arcade machine close to where I live anymore 🙁

You have access to the gym for 2 hrs every weekday, but not enough time to run? Best way to lose weight is to burn calories.

Indeed.

He wants all the benefits without all the hard work. You get nothing with no work and you certainly don't drop 25-40lbs without some discipline and good olf fashion hard work.

My mum dropped 15lbs over a couple of months. She went swimming 3-4x a week. She could have certainly dropped it faster but she ENJOYED the time spent learning to swim and doing laps when she learnt how to swim.

Stick to something you actually like.

You first need discipline in eating less crappy food. These foods are pretty self explanatory. Eat less of them. Cut out as much soda and drinks that aren't just 'water' as you can and you will drop more lbs.

25-40lbs will take sometime. If you drop 2lbs a week that is at least 3-5 months.

What sort of time frame do you want?

You can drop 8-10lbs very fast if yo don't drink water or eat for 24hrs or so. But you will definately put this water weight back on almost instantly.

Run sprints in the mornings and you will drop weight. Do this 3-4x a week.

Ok, since the OP is living in a dream world, lets talk DDR? Can I still get this for the PS2, or are you guys talking about the arcade version?

I need to drop 50lbs myself, and this sounds like fun.

So true... Losing a significant amount of weight is very difficult. Losing 40lbs is probably the most difficult thing I've ever done. We're talking a lifetime of habits and tendancies that you need to (almost) instantly change. The battle is completely mental. If you aren't motivated to dedicate yourself to a complete change of habits, you are doomed for failure.

Hey Manboobs, seven months and you still don't have a clue about realistic goals. Perhaps if you taken people's advice when you posted that thread back in July, you wouldn't be regurgitating your own words now.

Take the advice that was posted back then as well as today. Get off your fat ass and do some cardio several days a week. Also, adjust your food intake accordingly. Stop eating most of the bad stuff by getting it out of the house. Once you start to feeling the benefits of the cardio + a healthier diet, you won't want to eat the sh!tty foods again.

Take it from a man who used to be 350 and now looks like this ~> http://www.pics.bbzzdd.com/beta/users/BDog231/01.jpg

You'll get absolutely nowhere without a lifestyle change.

Best place to start is www.johnstonefitness.com.

I'd look into calorie cycling if self control is a major issue. You practice forcing yourself to eat a certain way for a decided period of days (I like 3 days, you bump it up more and more days the more self control you get, and trust me it comes).

Healthy weightloss will take a lot of exercise, if you don't, you'll likely fail and end up fatter with less muscle in the long run.
