Best fan for alpha 8045

I bought a 31.3 cfm young lin tech fan and a 48.5 ys tech fan with my svc alpha. Which fan would be best to use. I noticed that both hace rather low rpm's on the fan (~3000-3500), but move a lot of air. I just don't want to put everything together, and have to switch fans. Thanks

The one with the higher CFM would obviously be better. It just depends on how much noise your ears can take.

For me, the "best" is the fine line between noise and performance. I wouldn't get the most powerful fan just so it can give me a head-ache... Other than that, in terms of pure performance obviously more CFM = better.

The best balance between noise and performance probably belongs to the YSTech Ultra HighSpeed(or something), dont be fool by the name, it's relatively quiet fan, and it moves a lot of air.

The point of diminished returns for airflow with an 8045 is very low, just because the sink works so well. You'll get excellent results with the young lin, only slightly better with the ystech- a very few degrees at best.

I'd start with the lesser fan, install it to exhaust away from the sink unless there's a side intake fan right over it.

Getting the sink on the board is the hard part, switching fans is only 4 screws....

I have an antex 830 case with four fans installed. The two in the front blow in and the two in the rear blow out. Should I install the fan on my alpha to blow up or suck down???

Install it so that the fan pulls air thru the sink, exhausts away from the sink- sometimes referred to as "sucking". This is the default configuration for all alphas, which is contrary to most other sinks.
