Best Emulated Consoles?

Sure, I don't use PCSX2 enough to argue against that. I gave Dolphin a boost in my list because it emulates a more modern console, but really that is only because the Wii was "two Gamecubes taped together" or whatever. Plus I use Dolphin more because some Wii games are actually pretty good when the graphics aren't low-res crap. Unlike every other console in the list my first Wii gaming experiences are mostly coming via emulator. Heck I stopped playing Zelda TP back in the day because "one day I will be able to run this game at 1080p and do it justice."

Sounds reasonable.

I can't get into emulation too much, the inaccuracies drive me bonkers. I will admit that I use Dolphin to play Double Dash and occasionally Galaxy 2 (so I can use 360 pad). My original xbox has an xecuter 3 chip installed along with a 300GB HDD, it runs SNES and Genesis games very well considering the xbox's hardware.

I truly do prefer the original hardware itself, simulating the circuit just isn't the same for me 🙁

As far as best emulated console imo, SNES hands down, I prefer bsnes for obvious reasons (has anything else beat its accuracy for SNES?). Dolphin is my second choice just because of the game selection and being able to use the Wii mote easily.

Easy. With HD texture packs and all the effects turned on even.

Awesome! Thanks for this thread 🙂. I'll try out your recommendations soon.

What do you mean that the N64 emulators aren't accurate? Do you mean in terms of the controls? So, they would suck for mario cart?

Its mostly high level emulation aka they emulate the game not the hardware. It works well enough for most games, but small things won't work. The TV screen on Luigi Circuit most plugins don't even bother and you get black, and Glide64's recreation of the effect is too good.
