I'm looking for a new email provider that I can use through Microsoft Outlook. I've had softhome for a little bit, and it SUCKS!!!! I have also had hotmail, and it's stupid. I would like a free dependable provider. Anandtech had email accounts up for grabs a while back, and I missed it. Do they still provide email? If so, how can I get one? I need answers FAST guys, because I am not getting 75% of my mail.

best would be to have your own domain, best free would be yahoo, I think there's some plugin that allows you to use it for pop.

Even if you have your own domain, you still have to have a dependable host. I have and have had Host Rocket for a number of years and I wouldn't trust their email server's reliability. I have always used my RR pop accounts. You get five with a cable internet account.

My boyfriend has DSL and he got a bunch of free email accounts, but for some reason when we tried to get that account to go through Outlook on my computer at my house it didn't work. Any ideas?

Try fastmail, unlike yahoo it has no ads, 10 mb of storage, 40 mb of bandwidth. Did I say no ads? (one small text tag line on outgoing mails) - www.fastmail.fm

You probably have a secured setup, read the ISP's directions carefully.

Thanks!

Now, here's somethin for you all to laugh about:

Apparently the people that were sending me the messages that I wasn't getting were put on my block list by my dumb @$$ sister who said she was "mad" at me when she did it and then forgot. So, the moral of this story is not to let sisters use computers that don't belong to them, and I need to check the delete folder before assuming the worst:p

the absolute WORST email provider is Hotmail. Seriously, I can't see how AOL itself could be any worse. I only use it as a junk account and it STILL pisses me off.

If you get youre own domain just for email, I'll host it for free.

I can even provide uptime stats if neccessary.

Fiveohhh you don't need hotpopper at all to get Hotmail through Outlook. I haven't used Hotmail for awhile, but last I checked, Outlook has good support for Hotmail.

btw, I haven't used hotpopper

Yeah, but you can't apply rules to it and it gives some stupid html interface. Atlest thats how it was last time I tried
