What email program do AT'ers like and why? Is it Thunderbird or Outlook?
Why do you think it is the best or why do you prefer it?

Thunderbird is open-source, has a bunch of extensions and themes. Also, Thunderbird is still less used than Outlook, so in some ways this makes it more secure. The only problem with thunderbird is that it doesn't support HTTP accounts. This was a burden at first (I was using hotmail) but it caused me to switch to gmail which has pop forwarding :)

Eudora Pro 6.2 is a powerful mail manager, and it can be run from a CDR. The mail files and indexing data base files are easily backed up. The filters are strong. And it can display embedded as well as attached images, and also will play embedded sound files.

That's not a user agent, it's a transfer agent. Unless you like to telnet in and speak smtp :p
