(just to say something different)

I thought you had to run seperate instances of Eudora to have more than one account? I use Eudora now.

Thanks for the suggestions, I am using Thunderbird, and it works great!

And, yes, I do run Windows (and linux)...I try to leave that as my only MS product....I will even admit that XP is a pretty decent product.

No you don't have to run separate instances of Eudora for more than one account. Eudora supports multiple accounts since back in version 4, I believe.

I'm not a big fan of Eudora, but five years ago, the university was (they will soon stop support for Eudora though, finally), and that's all they have in the computer lab if you want to use e-mail, so I had to learn how to use it.

I've used Eudora for years. It's free and can do anything as far as email goes. Just not a full fledged program like Outlook with the whle calendar, contacts, etc.

You can set up multiple accounts and profiles and such. Set some or all to check automatically. Pick which account to send from, etc.

Well, apparently I am a little slow......Oh well, I really like Thunderbird anyway.

Thanks again!

Thunderbird... the latest version. The 0.2 version was not able to use multiple SMTP accounts. I heard is it solved in 0.3 but I don't have multiple email accounts to check it 😛

eudora is pretty nice. but i stopped using it when i found that it didn't handle nonenglish languages very well

Has anyone *seen* Eudora Pro in stores anywhere recently? It use to be commonly available, and usually on-shelf at BB, CUSA, EggHead, and other computer/software stores.

Theres a plugin that helps a little - you can at least change what the send-from address looks like on outgoing emails on a per message basis.

My vote is for either Eudora 6.1 in Sponsored Mode or Thunderbird.....

last time i tried to use outlook to handle multiple mail accounts it dumped all the mail from all accounts into the same inbox and didn't allow you to have a different from: field depending on which account you were using. mozilla has done that for quite a while. maybe outlook 11 fixed it, i suppose i can find out quickly enough.

What kind of ghetto email client have you been using that limited you to one account?

No, but they sell it on their website. It's a pretty small download, so maybe they figure it's not worth the expense of selling it in stores.

I used to be a hardcore Eudora fan when I used a Mac, but the interface does not port well to Windows.
