See if you can find one that picks up the leavings. Mine's a Norelco, it works fine, but damn its messy.
 
I bought a Remington with Titanium blades and it works very well on my beard. I used to have a cheaper brand but the damn thing would pull hair out and not cut it. Hurt like a mofo!!
