Best/easiest/safest way to overclock?

I'm currently running an AMD Athlong 3200+ on a nforce3 mobo. Is nTune a good way to overclock? from what I've read here it's not that great. Should I just try to learn how to overclock using the BIOS or are there any other good/safe programs out there?

BIOS of course. With software things might not come out right (ex: when I use ASUS AI Probe the vCore doesn't even get set correctly and limits my OC a lot).
By the way, what mobo?

bios then stress test. don't expect the difference to be significant in real life application.
