I just got the Etymotic HF2 for $80 on sale and I returned them because there was no bass at all. I even prefer my $7 Monoprice 8382 to listen to music. I listen to mostly electronica for running and at the gym.

What's the best earphone for $100-$150 w/ clean bass?

I had a couple different shure phones and none of them have enough bass. People claimed they did but those people don't understand what I mean when I say bass.
Hippo VBs are great

I can understand the sentiment. I like the 'clean bass' that the poster above said, and use multi-driver IEM's to stick with the balanced-armature rendition despite the comparative lack of ear-rattling bass. Some of the higher-end >3-driver IEM's can actually manage a clean mid+top and a decent bass pretty well, but you won't find them for your budget.

So really, dynamics are your best choice - sound not as good ultimately, but the flavour will be more to your liking. Beats for example are all-dynamic, and the Tours would offer the unsubtle but likely satisfying to you sound you'd be after. Hippo VB referred to above? Maybe a good choice too.

My DT770s are quite nice for that price range. I have leather pads on mine which create a tighter seal and add to the punchiness of the bass.

I've 3 different headsets in the house at the moment and I almost always leave my corsair vengeance 1500 plugged into my PC. The sound is very good for music as well as gaming and at the price (£70 UK) I think they are a very very good buy.

For sure there are better sounding headsets available, but at that price point they represent excellent value.

there are a few video reviews of them on YouTube if you want to hear some other opinions.
