best dvi video card?

i'm looking at the radeon 8000 and 9000 series. i have a planar 17 inch lcd with dvi. mostly, i use it for ms flight sim 2002 and watching the occasional dvx video. suggestions please. oh, the os is windows me and its a piii, about 900 mhz or so. thanks.
