Here is a nice one. However if you plan on doing text based application I would stick with a higher resolution, better dot pitch CRT monitor.

The Viewsonic VG191 is as good as it gets for the money - as far as I have read. I've been shopping one too - think I found one for about $1200 somewhere. But I keep hearing some people say a good CRT is still better. I haven't been able to see enough screens to be able to judge.
I have a Viewsonic G790 19" and would love the extra space - but for that kind of $$ I'd feel pretty stupid if it wasn't a big visual improvement too.

Dell has the Planar 19" here. I have the 18.1" version of this monitor and love it. I don't know what that guy above me is talking about. It's hard to beat text on an LCD, especially when it using the digital input and running in the display's native resolution.

I'm using a 19" IBM P96 FD Trinitron CRT and I'd much rather have a DVI LCD monitor. I've seen some NEC 2010x 20.1" LCD monitors in action and those things are sweeeeeeet.:D If I could afford one of those I would definately buy one.
