Generally speaking, I convert all of my videos to WMV format so that I can stream them from my media center PC to my television by means of my wireless router. In order for the videos to be compatible with the media center extender, they have to be in windows media format.
So far I've been using the free Microsoft utility to convert video files of all types to .WMV files. I find that I usually save some extra space by switching to this format, so I guess it isn't time that is completely wasted.
Now, I'd like to convert a DVD (TV Series) to .WMV format, I'd like to get all of my episodes to the media center so that I can browse them "on demand" rather than fumbling around for the DVD, plus it is more impressive to have them all there and waiting..... haha
Ok- long story short (too late) what is going to:
1.) Allow me to convert a DVD to WMV.
2.) Support splitting the DVD to episodes. (It is not one long movie.)
3.) Give me great quality and small files.
4.) Support dual core for fast encryption!
