Best DVD to SVCD encoder/ripper?

Hi, my brother has over 100 dvds and i want to rip and make svcds with them so i can watch them on my laptop when im not at home and on trips. What is the best way to do this????

Should i use smartripper first and then what????

When i rip them (doesnt take long). Whats the best program to encode a 2cd svcd. Whats the fastest???
 
yea but how long does it take??? I saw that dvd2one prog which is fast as hell. Are there any progs like this for svcds?

It takes hella long anywhere from 8 - 20 hours depending on your rig. All dvd2one does is rip the video files and put them on a dvd. When you convert to svcd you are shrinking the file massively. This is what takes so long. You are trying to fit a 4? gig dvd onto 1 750 meg cdr.

Nope. DVD2SVCD is the best thing out there for svcd. If you have a newer computer you just start it before you go to bed and in the morning its done.
