I'm finally getting a dvd burner. Any recommendations on the best dvd-r media (using NEC dual-layer burner) and where to buy the media?
 
Verbatim (with MCC code), Ridata, TDK (real TDK), Tayo Yuden would all be good choices. I buy my Ritek/Ridata from NewEgg. Usually less $40 for 100 discs.
 
FujuFilm cakeboxes that say "made in Japan" have been Taiyo Yudens lately. Just make sure it is not made in Taiwan. Buy it at Best Buy. If it turns out not to be Taiyo Yuden just return it for a full refund.
