Best DVD editing software.

I have a Canon miniDV camcorder. Looking for some s/w to transfer video to my pc and then edit the video.
I have heard of Pinnacle Studio but haven't tried it. Any suggestions?

Start with Pinnacle Instant Video Album. It is pretty simple to use and has a fairly straightforward interface. If you want to get fancy later look for sales on Pinnacle Studio 9.
