Best DVD Copying Software?

I've been trying to do the walkthrus and I just can't seem to do it right, I always screw up somewhere and that just wastes an hour of my time each time I try. Is there a software where I can just pop my DVD into my DVD-ROM and burn it to my DVDRW Drive without having to rip, edit, encode, etc... I hear bad things about DVD X-copy my friend says Pinnacle Instant Copy works good but are these just click and burn or do i have to go through a number of steps to get a good DVD Movie copy? I'm a complete noob when it comes to DVD and DVD Software I just can't get it right so I need some all in one software. I have like a lot of money invested in my DVD Movie collection and I would like to keep the originals in good shape.

A second vote for DVDShrink it rules! Get it and Imgtool to do your burning.
I backup all my DVD's this way and I have yet to find one i cant get right.

Do you guys know of a good software package that will allow me to take a dvd and copy it to a cdr ? Such as VCD or AVI ? I have a laptop with no DVD player, and would like to watch some of my movies on the laptop when I travel.

Thanks !

Trimper.

DVD Shrink 2.3 had me confused for about 3 weeks, I would go to backup a disc and each time I would remove an audio file that i didnt want, or try to compress the movie it would drop to 0 bytes...then my brain actually kicked in and I realized I needed to let it do the scan of the disk at startup. 😀
