best dvd burning software

just bought the new liteon dvd burner. I was wondering what's the best software to make backup copies of your movies.

So far I've found Nero to be pretty finicky, buggy, and quirky, but most of the time I can get it to work (eventually). One thing I haven't figured out is why it's as slow as it is. I'm running ReelDVD at the moment on one computer and have Nero set up on another (running multiple burners) and ReelDVD will burn a DVD in 2/3rd or less time that it takes Nero burning ROM to burn a DVD, even working from its own image format.

I use DVDDecrypter to rip DVD movies for a 100% region free movie with all the extra stuff intact. I use DVDFab to split the file into 2 if the original is a DVD9. Then I burn it with Sonic Record Now deluxe. This way I get everything from the original and retain the quality of the original.

You cannot tell the difference between my copy and the original.

DVDDecrypter and Shrink. Nero is for CD's IMO. Never had a problem with DVDDecrypter.

What are the best softwares for taking 2 family guy discs. taking a couple of epsiode from each. and making a new DvD with menus?
