Best DVD authoring package?

I'm looking to plop some miniDV captures onto DVD-r .. What's the best package to do this? Compatability is important since I'll be handing this out to a lot of people... Nero XPress (or whatever it's called) authored disks are kinda flakey.. Price and OS are not issues but ease of use is... I have a professional dvd authoring app on my mac and I have no idea how to use it...

Also, should I convert the footage from miniDV (avi) to mpeg2 using Discreet or is it better to just do it through the authoring app? Thanks guys..

Authoring programs do just that, they don't do conversions or re-encoding. Packages like MyDVD, Presto DVD or DVDit can import video and convert it to DVD format.

Personally, I would try some of the programs from Pinnacle, Adobe or Ulead.
