Best dual p3 Mobo?? Need some help

Well basically I need some recommendations on the best p3 dual mobo. Everyone seems to like the abit vp6, but I already have a raid card, so i need one w/o raid. I would also need it to be a nice overclocker, since I will be running 2 p3700's @1050+(150fsb+). Thanks alot...hopefully someone will reply

That's right. We've been using the ABIT VP-6 on several computers with dual/single PIII 1GHz for business software development without any problem a couple of months now. All systems with equipped with this motherboard seem to run quite stable. It's the only mobo recommended for dual PIII out there, as far as I know. Not even ASUS mobo.

Might want to look at the Tyan tiger 230. Its about 100 bucks and is a pretty nice board. I have had no problems with it...

Most of you are wrong, no offense. But if your not looking to spend much on a duallie board get a ECS D6VAA, awesome board does most of the stuff the VP6 can do for only 99 dollars with RAID featured or just 75 dollars for the non RAID version. How do i know? Cause i had one. Now i have a MSI 649D and a Epox D3VA duallie. Everyone says Vp6 but forget about the ECS which is basically the best bang for your buck right now as far as Motherboards go. Sig says it all. The tyan tiger 230 is weak compared to the other alternatives. If you don't need RAID then like i said go for the ECS duallie for around 75 dollars. Hit me up for anyother questions.

After using the majority of the low cost P3 dual boards my vote goes to the Iwill DVD266 board at this time for overall performance and stability.

If i was you i would probably wait for tulatins and get a MSI Pro2 dual board that supports tualys either that or a Tyan 230T which supports dual tuallys.

That is the new chip that intel is coming out with. I was thinking that would probably be the best thing, but does anyone know when it is expected to come out? I dont want to wait too long

July 1st from what i was told. I can't wait till the Tulatin Xeons come out, 1.2ghz Tuallys with 1mb of cache, droooolll. Still no match for 760MP but its better than nothing

July is the release date for the mobile version. The desktop version is sometime in late q3 right now as Intel is having some "supply" issues again. The performance gains are very small at this time also. I did not hesitate in buying Intel 1gigs now for SMP as I know in a few months that I will be going AMD MP anyway for performance. I would wait for AMD or go ahead and buy a low end (700~800,then overclock) Intel setup now.

hm q3, im not going to wait that long....the only thing im having trouble with is noone will sell their p3 700's(that o/c to 1000+)

The tualatin are Sock370 and 0.13 based PentiumIII, they have a different voltage signature than 0.18 P3 which mean they won't run on today's Sock370 MB. I have heard that production shortages could delay the retail parts.
