Why won't they get cable? Need a good deal on it?

... Are you serious?

Yea-they think it's too expensive even though I offered to pay for it

that sucks, the only cable i can get in my area is adelphia and its fcking horrible.

 for Adelphia for sending our cable bill to fvcking Puerto Rico (living in Pullman, WA).

My parent's use Bellsouth and it's been rock-solid for at least 7 years in Flagler county, Florida. Even during hurricanes, if we had power to turn on the router, we had internet.

In our area, cable is far less stable, and for the most part, use the older cable lines. Old cables mean that your bandwidth is divided by the number of people pulling it on your street, so.... bad news for them.

Where are you, physically?

edit: Volusia county Bellsouth ADSL is rather unstable, though.
