best drivers for the geforce 2 Ultra

guys can anyone tell me what the best drivers for my setup and if i need direct x8

i'm running a tbird@1200 on a msi k7t pro2a w/ 384 megs of mosel!!

Man, I can't believe no one has told you which drivers to run. I wish I had some good information for you, but I am running the ones that came with the card.

i'm running the 6.50 reference drivers and it screams, definately the fastest card out there!!

Very good video card. I upgraded from a TNT2 Ultra (not overclocked).


Are you running at default speed on Video card? CPU?

My 1 gig tbird is @1200,I've not tried overclocking the video card! You o/c your card??

No, I don't have either overclocked. You obviously did the "pencil trick" on the cpu. What kind of experience was that?

Well you have the fastest drivers(6.50) so you probably don`t need to change them since they are OK for WinME,as for DX8,well this is down to you,some Members have had problems with DX8 installed & other Members like myself have not.

I bought the cpu,mobo combo, from Skorp on anands,To be honest I don't know how he did it :Q:Q I do know it's running @ default volts,smooth as a baby's bottom

I had the directx 8 on my one system and had nothing but problems, so i'm hesitant about putting those on this rig!!It's running great with those drivers now.I noticed they have some ref drivers 7's , but i think you need directx 8 to run the latest!! I could be wrong :Q:Q

Well I`m still using 6.31 drivers with DX8 & it`s rock stable ,mind you I`ve Win98,so it`s up to you if you want to install DX8.
