Hey guys i am having a problem with my Nvidia Geforce2 gts pro card on Win Xp....

With the default drivers that winXp installs for the video card...it works perfectly but i cannot play games...like castel wolfenstine or fifa 2002...but when i install the latest nvidia drivers....23.11 nvidia drivers..the games work but i cannot put the computer on suspend mode...

does anyone know if i need to upgrade the VIA 4 in 1 drivers or just one stable nvidia drivers that will help me do both play games as well as go into suspend mode....

TIA

P.S. this is strange because this is the first timen nvidia has come out with drivers that dont work that well...

I'm using the 2250s and they work great. Don't get the VIA 437s though - yesterday I had my first and only lockup on Windows XP after upgrading to them. Use Windows XP's default drivers whenever possible.

Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard.

Everybody`s system is slightly different so try different ones yourself what works great for one person might not in another persons system,I`ve also installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers 4.37 but don`t have any problem with them or 23.11 nvidia drivers.

I personally stick with the 21.88 drivers as these were the last set not to suffer from the 'infinite loop' error in XP (for me anyway - tested across 3 different platforms) and also because they do indeed offer better overall compatibility in games.

Where do you get the Nvidia drivers from. I tried their site and Gainwards site but it seems like a limited
selection.
