Best drivers for Geforce3 chipset?

I have a Radeon 9000 @300/250 now. I found a Gainward Geforce3 Ti450 Golden Sample Powerpack for $69 shipped. After reading the reviews, this thing rocks, commonly reaching speeds of 245/540. I currently have a Gainward Geforce2 Pro 450 running in one of my systems. I have found that some of the newer drivers cause lock ups. I am assuming this is because they are biased towards a Geforce4 chipset. 23.12 still runs the fastest and looks the best for the old Geforce2 Pro, would this be a good solution for the Geforce3 Ti450? Or should I try a later version? Which ones if any favor the Geforce3 over the Geforce4?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have the Abit KG7 and with the any Radeon 150MHz fsb is the absolute max. With the Geforce2 Pro I can hit 172MHz fsb stable, that's why I am trying the Geforce3.

I have the Geforce3 Ti 450 Golden Sample, and I am very partial to the 29.42 drivers. I am running Win98SE on my game machine BTW.

The official 30.82 Nvidia drivers are very stable, and the best drivers IMHO.

I'm running the official 30.82 Nvidia drivers also, have not got any problems what-so-ever. Tried the 40.41 drivers and they caused my monitor to turn off and on randomly, weird side effect.

I agree with Mem. I was running the 23.12's for awhile with my MSI GF3 but upgraded to the 30.82's with zero problems and the same speed/image quality.

My thanks to Mem and jiffylube 1024 for their endorsement for the official 30.82 Nvidia drivers. Now I can download them and upgrade my present drivers without any worries that the beta drivers present.

I'm running on a KG7-Raid and a GF3 (not Ti)

I've had great luck with the 29.42 dets for stability

moved on to the 30.82 and really didn't see any change...... (ie: they were fine and stable too)

Now I am running the 40.72 Dets. So far, so good. (I prefer the display panel of this driver over any to date.)

I have been told, and strongly believe that it is important to have all the remnants of old drivers out, and SP1 installed
prior to installation of the 40 series dets. (series 40 work fine on non-SP1 XP setups, but you don't want the 40 series installed
when you install the SP1 Windows XP update)
