Best driver for an older video card

I'm piecing together a 'retro' rig and needed to find a driver for a GeForce Ti4600 128MB card. If I remember correctly, after the GeForce FX series launched Nvidia switched focus to squeezing out as much prformance out of their DX9 cards as possible. In doing so the old Ti4x00 cards actually lost some performance when using the newer drivers.

Does anyone remember what driver was best for the GeForce Ti4x00 cards? I want to say it was Detonator 4x.xx or 5x.xx, but I really can't remember... thanks.
